Description: 

To advise the Government and other National Actors  on issues related to macroeconomic policy, help the country expedite the pace of achieving the MDGs and review eligibilty of TL for Budget Support.

Final Project Results: 

The Advisor is expected to provide:

1. Comprehensive lists of specific interventions required by Timor-Leste to

meet the MDGs;

2. Identify opportunities for reallocating expenditures within Ministries that

would be more effective in meeting MDGs

3. Identification of bottlenecks on donor and government side, to increase

the effectiveness of aid;

4. Propose ways to increase efficiency and effectiveness in public services

and methods to ensure a more effective targeting of the poor;

5. Coverage targets for each intervention to be achieved by 2015
