This project will benefit 397 people of 94 households in Darulete village by improving the access to clean water. Also, 243 students and teachers can get access to the clean water on a daily basis for washing their hands etc. It will reduce the risk of skin disease and diarrhea caused from unhygienic water. Also it will reduce burdens to fetch the water for women and children.
In order to improve the access to clean water, this project will construct the water supply system and provide training for its maintenance and management in Karulema hamlets in Darulete village, Liquica. It builds one water-intake, two water supply tanks (10,000 ℓ), twelve public taps and distributing pipes (7,240m in total). Also it rehabilitates one storage tank (30,000ℓ) and two existing public taps. The training contains community action plan for 144 residents and maintenance and management training for 10 members of community water user group (GMF) for 17 days.
