This small-scale technical assistance approved in December 2018 to help the Government of Timor-Leste to strengthen its development planning and to improve the linkages between planning and budgeting. The assistance is being provided through a small-scale technical assistance as this modality aligns with the level of assistance that is needed

Improved development planning analysis supported. The TA will support the preparation of background analysis on Timor-Leste’s medium to long term macro-fiscal framework and feasible pathways for achievement of upper middle-income status together with a policy note on Timor-Leste’s development planning framework.  Link between planning and budgeting strengthened. Development of an MTEF will be piloted with staff from MOF and a line ministry that has a clear service delivery mandate such as the Ministry of Health, or the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport.
