Agricultural-based livelihoods restored in the most severely El Niño-induced drought-affected rural communities of Baucau, Dili and Manufahi Municipalities
The Project will focus on reducing vulnerability of persons and assets and strengthen their resilience to future climate-induced extreme weather conditions through the promotion of proven success stories in the country, such as conservation agriculture and agro-forestry techniques and the provision of locally manufactured metallic silos for food and seed storage. It will also support increased dietary diversity through small-scale poultry and meat production, the introduction of legume cover crops and community-level communication on the importance of food-based nutrition.
