1. Improve attendance of targeted malnourished women and children in the clinics to access health services; 2. Prevent malnutrition of children under 2 years of age and improve nutritional status of children age 2 - 5 years and malnourished women.

Maternal and Child Health Nutrition (MCHN) MCHN focuses on preventing malnutrition of children under two and improving the nutritional status of malnourished children between the ages of two and five, as well as malnourished pregnant and breast-feeding women. WFP provides blanket feeding to all children aged 6–23 months, and targeted feeding to moderately malnourished children aged 24–59 months and to malnourished mothers. 

50,124 children (22,245 boys and 27,879 girls) with moderate acute malnutrition, and 71,951 acutely malnourished pregnant and lactating women received supplementary food. 141.721MT of RUSF were distributed to malnourished children under five, and 426.861MT of Timor Vita was distributed to pregnant and lactating women with acute malnutrition. Capacity development of SAMES and Ministry of Health staff regarding the use the tracking management system and enhanced warehouse management, and the introduction of a range of procurement reforms that took place in 2017, resulted in savings of over USD 2 million between 2016-2017 whilst ensuring quality.
