Expected Outcomes: 

1. Electoral Assistance 

Short term outcomes

- Assisting TL Government to carry out successful elections of 2016 SUCO election, 2017 presidential and general elections, and 2018 early election through CNE/STAE staff training, voter education, and equipment provision.

Long-term outcomes

- Development of democratic process in local political scene 

- Increased public understanding of the importance of electoral process to strengthen democracy

- Strengthend institutional capacity of government institutions such as the Ministry of State Administration, CNE and STAE

2. Legal Assistance

Short-term outcomes

- Providing legal access with local population in underprivileged groups(youth, women, persons with disabilities)/areas

- Capacity-building of judicial workforce and institution

Long-term outcomes

- Increased public awareness of judical system that is accessible and understanding of the usefulness of dispute resolution based on judicial proceedings/mediation  

- Strengthened capacity of judicial institutions and workforce

Final Project Results: 

1. Electoral Assistance 

Institutional capacity building of CNE and STAE through staff training, electoral equipment support for 2016 suco election/2017 presidential and general elections/2018 early election

Increased public awareness of electoral process and its importance to democracy

Advocacy for politically vulnerable groups such as youth, women and persons with disabilities

2. Legal Assistance

- Increased public accessibility to judicial system especially for the benefit of the vulnerable population such as youth, women and persons with disabilities 

-  Strengthened capacity of judicial institutions and workforce
