Description:
The proposed Capacity Development Program (PSCDP) aims to improve the ability of the Government of Timor Leste (GoTL) to implement the cornerstone of its national development efforts. This will assist the GoET to achieve a sustainable and effective system of governance and public administration for the delivery of high quality and value for money public services. PSCDP will build capacity to build capacity by focusing on the key GoTL agencies responsible for public sector capacity building. AusAID initiative ING357.
Final Project Results:
Australia has supported the National Institute of Public Affairs to prepare and deliver training modules in public service skills for administrative and senior management staff. Twenty five trainers have been trained to deliver these modules which are expected to benefit 1,000 public servants in 2011. The Civil Service Commission has been established to work towards a more professional, effective and efficient civil service in East Timor.
